Raise funds for Princeton Junction Volunteer Fire Company!
We are kicking off our personal campaigns with a virtual Bharatanatyam dance performance raising money for Princeton Junction Fire Co, a dedicated team of volunteers on standby twenty four hours a day and seven days a week to keep West Windsor Township, NJ residents safe.
Sushmita Ramamurthy, a junior firefighter at Princeton Junction's Station 44, is using her love for dancing to lead this fundraiser. Click here to watch her perform!
"I have seen first hand just how much they care about our community, and I want to show as much support as I can for them. Since I can dance, this is my way of showing my support for them in addition to volunteering," she says. "They work diligently to protect us from fires, floods, and more, as well as provide assistance in every way possible, whether it be defending members of their community, teaching the public how to avoid future disasters or even little things like attending a kid's birthday to put a smile on their face or hosting events to bring the community together."
Junior firefighters (ages 16-17) as well as active firefighters (ages 18+) give the job 100% effort when addressing calls. Their members train constantly to enhance their capabilities and keep current with the ever changing conditions of the fire service. Regardless of the severity of the situation, they perform at their best in order to help those in West Windsor as well as the surrounding communities stay safe.
